YOUTH CLUB
The first year has proved successful with an average of 20 youngsters attending meetings. After the summer holidays the club will re-convene in September. For details of the autumn – winter programme please contact Philip Mearns on Doncaster 772924.

NEW BYE-LAW FOR PLAYING FIELDS
Dog fouling on the playing field and in the car park is getting worse and, for this reason, Finningley and Blaxton Parish Councils have agreed to impose a new byelaw in these areas. In the very near future all dogs using this area will need to be on a lead, signs will be posted as soon as the byelaw is approved. The pick up byelaw is still active.

Our reasoning is that if dogs remain close to owners whilst being exercised then the owner cannot fail to know that the dog has messed and will pick up. If owners do not comply with either byelaw anyone can challenge, and persistent offenders can be referred to the DMBC Dog Warden service who will also patrol the area.

Dog fouling presents a danger to the health and welfare of all playing fields users. If you are a dog owner and use the field please help us to maintain a clean environment which everyone can enjoy, by complying with both bye-laws.

PARISH COUNCIL MEETINGS AND MINUTES
The Parish Council meets on third Tuesday of every month in the Village Hall commencing at 7 pm. Members of the public are most welcome to attend and there is an opportunity, for the first 15 minutes, for residents to raise any concerns with the parish council. Minutes of meetings can be found on the village notice boards located at the Post Office and at the Village Hall. You can also read current and past minutes on the village website www.finningleyvillage.co.uk together with other council information.
