Highways – on the recent patrol of the village streets, it was encouraging to find fewer defects than previously. Many thanks to all concerned.

Police – we continue to have a regular police presence in the neighbourhood, the low crime figures in the village are a good reflection of this.

Village pond – the condition of the water in the village pond is showing a slight improvement, a little early to say whether this is a result of the weather or of the work carried out earlier in the year.
Some small ducklings were observed round the pond in mid November, could this be a further indication of global warming?

Village Hall – the ongoing refurbishment of the village hall is now reaching its final stage. Using an old photo and drawings for reference, a new door has been made which is to be fitted to the outside of the main hall.
At present the hall is used by a wide selection of groups. For more information concerning these or to hire the hall, please contact Mrs E. McNulty (771699).
