Village Pond
The question of the water quality in our village pond has been a long held concern for the parish council and many of the villagers. We have tried a number of ways to get rid of the algae, all without success. The Parish Council is very aware that the pond is a central feature of the village and will continue to try and make the pond and surrounds something of which we are all proud. If you have any ideas on how to get rid of the algae, please get in touch.

Playing Field
The playing field committee is happy to report that Doncaster Cricket Club will commence regular cricket matches on the field in the 2011-2012 season. As well as bringing much needed extra revenue to the Playing Fields Association they will provide extra week-end viewing for users of the play areas.
Dog walkers are always welcome, but do remember that the playing field bye-laws require your dog to be on the lead, and that you could face a fine if you do not clear up your dog’s mess.
Responsible dog owners rarely get any recognition for their part in helping keep our village clean by clearing up their animals’ droppings whilst out and about, so here is a thank-you to those of you who do, it is appreciated.

Winter
As the bad weather looms and the nights have drawn in, please keep a check on elderly neighbours and the vulnerable in the village.
Remember too that crime is a 24/7 industry. If you do see anything suspicious at any time please report it to the police.

Notice Board
The board for the parish council notices is now situated by the duck pond.

Finally, your parish council would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
